APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS



INSPECTION INFORMATION

Inspectors will arrive between 8:00am and 4:00pm on your scheduled inspection day.


Re-inspections will be automatically scheduled for 30 days after failed inspections. It is the responsibility of the applicant to contact our office to reschedule, postpone or cancel any re-inspections. Every re-inspection will be assessed a $54.00 re-inspection fee that must be paid prior to the next inspection or to the issuance of the certificate of occupancy.


You can check the status of your inspections online at omahapermits.com. Select the Permits link, enter your record number (e.g. COO-20-00000) and press Search. Click the drop-down next to Record Info and select Inspections. Click the Actions link next to each inspection and the resulting View Details pop- up to get details on that inspection. The View Result Comments link will show you the inspector’s comments for that inspection.


After all inspections have been approved a certificate of occupancy will be generated and submitted for final review. This process generally takes between two and four business days. You will be notified by email if additional fees are due. Fees can be paid online at omahapermits.com. All outstanding fees must be paid before the certificate of occupancy can be issued.
